FULL TIME - PUBLIC WORKS EQUIPMENT OPERATOR


The Infrastructure Department is looking for a mature, motivated and bilingual individual for the position of FULL TIME EQUIPMENT OPERATOR.  Under the direction of the Roads Superintendent, this position is responsible for the operation of trucks and industrial equipment and for performing manual work for repair and maintenance activities.

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Possess a DZ License to operate tandem axle vehicles, experience in its operation, inducing loading and unloading;
  • Able to perform manual tasks related to maintenance and operations of roads and drainage system;
  • A valid WHMIS certificate and experience in winter activities and road construction will be considered as assets;
  • Provide a clear criminal record;
  • Provide a current license abstract;
  • 5 years’ experience would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of mechanic and welding would be an asset.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Excellent proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing of both French and English.

COMPENSATION: The salary, based on a 40 hours per week, is between, $47,750 and $58,503 per year.

FULL TIME - UTILITIES OPERATOR


Under the direction of the manager of infrastructure, this position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all water and wastewater facilities by setting the operational parameters for a facility or for a process which controls the effectiveness or efficiency; by evaluating and adjusting the processes to the level of their licence capability by performing all duties in a safe and efficient manner; and by ensuring the operation of the facilities safely under normal and emergency conditions.

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND KNOWLEDGE
  • MOE Class 1 Wastewater Collection Licence and Class 1 Wastewater Treatment Licence;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), and SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) are an asset;
  • 5 years experiences with technical procedures associated with the repair, installation, maintenance and operation of a water distribution system and/ or other pipe lying;
  • Knowledge of Operational SOPs, Township policies and procedures, Township Standards and Specifications, MOE and AWWA Standards is an asset;
  • Confined space procedures;
  • Trenching and excavation;
  • Knowledge of electricity and mechanical is an asset;
  • Perform mathematical and dosage calculations;
  • Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS;
  • CPR AED/First Aid/WHIMS;
  • Valid Class G driver’s license and a good driving record;
  • Interpersonal, time management, analytical, problem solving, ready to get proper formations ifneeded and staff leadership skills.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Excellent proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing
of both French and English.

COMPENSATION: The salary, based on a 40 hours per week, is between, $52,877 and $66,102 per year.

GRADUATE EDUCATORS, St-Jean & La Croisée Daycare


The ideal candidates will be under the supervision of the Daycare Manager and be responsible for: delivering an educational program including activities that are geared toward children development, their health, their security and their well-being; assuring a professional and efficient management of the programs and activities of the service.

The candidate must possess a College degree in Early Childhood Education or in the process of completing an apprenticeship program and be a member of the Association of Early Childhood Educators Ontario. The must submit the appropriate criminal check and hold a valid CPR and First Aid certification.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Excellent proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing of French. English an asset.
 

COMPENSATION: The salary, based on 25 hours per week (split shift), is between $16.69 and $18.89 per hour.

NON-GRADUATE EDUCATORS, St-Jean & La Croisée Daycare


Responsible for delivering an educational program including activities that are geared toward children development, their health, their security and their well-being. Please include all current certification including first aid/C.P.R.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Excellent proficiency in speaking, reading and writing of French. English an asset.

COMPENSATION: The salary, based on 25 hours per week (split shift), is between $12.93 and $14.65 per hour.
