VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS
EMBRUN / RUSSELL


SUMMARY

The Township of Russell is looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to serve and protect our community by becoming a volunteer firefighter.

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND KNOWLEDGE
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older;

  • Reside within the Township of Russell;

  • Be in good physical condition and only selected candidates will be required to provide a doctor’s medical certificate;

  • Must have a valid Ontario driver’s licence;

  • Must have access to a vehicle;

  • Must provide a current police check;

  • Must provide a current license abstract;

  • Good initiative;

  • Good interpersonal skills;

  • Good judgement;

  • Team player;

  • Good integrity;

  • Effective interpersonal relations;

  • Motivated and willing to learn;

  • Able to work with limited supervision.

 Assets :

  • Available during daytime, evenings and weekends;

  • Have a DZ driver’s licence;

  • Have a first aid certificate;

  • Emergency services experience


COMPENSATION
The salary is $22.27 per hour.


RECRUITMENT INFORMATION SESSION AND PHYSICAL TEST
An information session and a physical test will be conducted for the selected candidates.

4:00pm on June 30th, 2016.

 

 

BOWLING HALL ATTENDANT (September 2016 - Mai 2017)

  • Evenings & Weekend shifts

  • Work in the bowling hall canteen

  • Smart Serve Certification (is an asset)

 

EMBRUN AND RUSSELL ARENAS (Sept. 2016 - Apr. 2017)

  • Canteen Attendant (16+)

  • Assistant Operators (16+ )

  • Operators (18+ and valid driver’s license)

  • Must be available 2-3 days a week.
