| | Official Plan Open House | | | OFFICIAL PLAN OPEN HOUSE Wednesday February 17, 2010 4:00pm-7:00pm
The first draft of the Official Plan is now available for download. All are invited to attend an open house to review and comment on this first draft.
Comments should be submitted prior to March 12, 2010 at 4:00pm to Dominique Tremblay, Planning Director by email at dominiquetremblay@russell.ca or by dropping off written comments to the Planning Department, 717 Notre Dame Street, Floor 1, Embrun, Ontario KOA 1W1.
All comments will be reviewed and incorporated, as necessary, into a new draft to be released in April. A formal public meeting under the Planning Act will subsequently be held at which time the public will be invited to attend and provide additional comments.
The French translation of the Draft Official Plan will be available from the Township of Russell website (www.russell.ca) within the next few days.
Vacant Land Analysis Report As part of the preparation of the Draft Official Plan, a Vacant Land Analysis Report was prepared in order to evaluate future growth potential on vacant lands in the villages of Embrun, Russell, Limoges, and Marionville, and the 417 Industrial Park. At its March 9th, 2009 Regular Council Meeting, Council acknowledged receipt of a petition from residents in the Village of Embrun who expressed their interest in being connected to the Embrun Sewage System. The petition was provided to the Public Utilities department to obtain an estimate of the costs.
