At its Regular Meeting held on May 17th, 2010, Council adopted a cost recovery by-law  for services or activities provided by fire service personnel.    By-law 25-2010 is not intended to stop the Fire Departments from educating our community but to recover costs from individuals that are not compliant with the Ontario Fire Code and from individuals who stand to profit by sale or business.  Apply on this link to consult the proposed by-law.

At its Regular Meeting held May 17th, 2010, Council proclaimed the week of May 30 to June 5, 2010 as National Access Awareness Week in the Township of Russell and enourages everyone to support equality of access, opportunity and outcomes for persons with disabilities.

The Township of Russell is committed to consistently provide a high level of service to consumers, to provide a safe, high quality and sufficient quantity of drinking water to consumers, to maintain and continually improve on the Drinking Water Quality Management System implemented at Public Utilities, and to comply with applicable legislation and regulations.
