COVID-19: Waste Limit Increase to 2 Bags Extended to June 4, 2021
The waste limit increase to two (2) bags instead of one will be extended until Friday, June 4, 2021. This temporary measure adopted by Council will help accommodate our residents during the Provincial stay-at-home order due to COVID-19. Remember to have your garbage and recycling items at the curb before 7:00a.m. to not miss your collection.

What if the stay-at-home order is extended?
If the Province extends the stay-at-home order past June 2, 2021, The Township will review and decide if the temporary increase to the waste limit should also be extended.
Why was the garbage bag limit not increased during January’s stay-at-home order?
There was no direction from Council to change the waste limit at the time.
Can we use plastic bags for our recycling since we are putting out more while at home?
No, plastic bags are no longer permitted for recycling collection. Recycling items must be placed loosely in the recycling bin.
