2025 Budget: Public Consultation

We invite residents to fill out a survey to help shape the Township of Russell in 2025 and beyond. The purpose of this survey is to collect your feedback to inform the 2025 Draft Budget. Your feedback will be shared with Council as they discuss the 2025 Draft Budget.

The Township of Russell is seeking residents’ opinions on whether to modify the distribution of fees collected through taxation and user fees.

Definitions:

• Tax-based funds: municipal taxes collected from your property tax.
• User fee-based funds: fees collected from users of specific services (e.g. users of daycares or arenas, etc.)

We invite residents to get involved in this process in the following ways.

• Share your feedback at our public consultation September 9, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall. If you wish to make a presentation during the Council meeting, you must supply the material to the Clerk's office in advance.
• Take our short survey by September 30, 2024, at the following link.
• Send your suggestions to the Clerk’s Office at clerk.greffe@russell.ca by September 30, 2024.

Please note that this is a different survey than the Asset Management Survey we also have running. We invite you to complete BOTH surveys to share your voice.
