Help Shape the 2026 Budget

The Township of Russell is beginning the 2026 Budget planning process — and we want to hear from you!

We invite all residents to share their feedback to help guide the Township’s financial priorities for 2026 and beyond. Your input will be presented to Council as part of the discussions on the 2026 Draft Budget.

Get Involved!

There are three ways to participate:

1. Attend Our Public Consultation
   Join us on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall to share your feedback directly with Council.
   If you wish to make a formal presentation during the meeting, please submit your materials to the Clerk’s Office in advance at clerk.greffe@russell.ca.
2. Complete Our Short Survey
   Help identify spending priorities, tax preferences, and ideas for capital projects. The survey is open until September 8, 2025, at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Budget2026
3. Submit Your Suggestions by Email
   Send your feedback or questions to the Clerk’s Office at: clerk.greffe@russell.ca by September 8, 2025.

What the Survey Covers

The survey includes questions on:

• Top three spending priorities (e.g., roads, safety, recreation)
• Your views on tax tolerance and user fees
• Preferred capital projects over the next 5 years
• How well-informed you feel about municipal finances
• Your preferred ways to stay informed
• Open-ended section to share suggestions or concerns

This is your opportunity to influence decisions that impact your community’s services, infrastructure, and future development.
