Citizen Recognition (Item 8a)
Council presented a Citizen Recognition Award to Embrun residents Josée Martel and Kim Vincent, founders of Ability Hive, for their leadership in advancing accessibility and inclusion. Since launching in 2023, Ability Hive has supported local families through specialized products, community events like accessible Halloween and Sensory Santa, and donations to local organizations. Their work has made a meaningful impact on residents of all abilities across the Township of Russell. View full story on our website.
2026-2030 Joint Compliance Audit Committee Terms of Reference (Item 11g)
Council approved updates to the Committees By-law to establish the 2026–2030 Compliance Audit Committee and adopt its Terms of Reference. The Committee will be shared with participating municipalities in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR) and will be responsible for hearing and deciding compliance audit applications related to municipal elections. Council also authorized the Clerk to begin the recruitment and appointment process for Committee members.
The next Council meeting will be Monday, June 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
