GoHere Washroom Access Program
The Township of Russell has joined the GoHere Washroom Access Program. City Hall, the Sports Dome and the Russell Public Library now proudly share this decal at their entrance showing that washroom facilities are available for use, no questions asked.
A primary lifestyle concern for the 300,000 Canadians living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis is accessing washrooms when they are away from home. Living with Crohn’s or colitis is a daily challenge. Faced with the anxiety of an accident due to incontinence, many choose to stay at home. Those that do not must plan their activities around publicly accessible washroom locations.
GoHere washroom locator app
The GoHere Washroom Locator App helps people find the closest available washroom, anywhere in Canada. You can plan for washroom access en route to your destination or in advance by using the GoHere app. The app is free and available for iPhone and Android devices. Over 3,500 registered locations Canada are available.
Quick and free to Join
We encourage more local businesses to join this free program to help our community be even more inclusive. One small gesture, opening the doors to washroom facilities at your organization, will make a big impact on the lives of individuals living in or visiting your community.
If you would like additional information or have a question, visit the Crohn’s and Colitis website or contact them at gohere@crohnsandcolitis.ca.
