Back to SearchOn Saturday July 22, 2023 the official inauguration of the Yahoo Park Splash Pad addition was held at 2, Marcel Street in Embrun. Organized by the Embrun Optimist Club, this event brought the community together for a morning filled with laughter, refreshments, and, of course, splashing in the water!
With a total expense of $66,645.27, this project was funded through community effort. The mayor’s contribution from his “selfie with the mayor campaign” brought in $17,727.00, while the Optimist Club raised $42,100.35 from various donors, including $10,000 from Enbridge Gas. The Township covered the landscaping costs of $6,817.92. We would like to thank the community for their contribution.
This exciting project, funded through a combination of community efforts, showcased the power of collaboration and community engagement. As families gathered to witness the ribbon cutting, enjoy refreshments, and embrace the joy of splashing in the water, it was clear that the Yahoo Park Splash Pad addition would be a cherished asset for years to come.
