Invitation to Meet Me on Main Street

We invite you to participate in the Meet Me on Main Street event Tuesday July 15, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This year’s event will take place on Concession Street in Russell, between the Maple Street and York Crossing. The Township of Russell is organizing this event where the community will gather in the street and support local businesses and organizations.

Admission to this community gathering is free. Food & beverage kiosks, local music, craft breweries, face painting, fire safety drill, outdoor fun, etc. will be available to all. Fun for the whole family!

New this year, a teen zone will be organized by the Teen Advisory Committee at the Russell Public Library as well as tables from community organizations. Come and discover the wonderful community associations and learn how you can get involved in your community!

Concession Street will be closed from Maple Street to York Crossing from 2:00 p.m. to 9 p.m., with access to pedestrians only. A detour will be in place.

Parking will be available at the following locations:

• Russell Arena: 1084 Concession Street
• Russell High School: 982 North Russell Road
• École élémentaire catholique Saint-Joseph: 1008 North Russell Road
• Barrier-free parking: at the Russell Arena
• Various bike racks: We encourage active transportation as it is conveniently located by the New York Central Recreation Trail.

In case of rain, the event will take place in the Russell Arena, 1084 Concession Street, and the Russell Curling Club next door.
