Back to SearchTAKE NOTICE that the Township of Russell will hold a public meeting on November 26, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., in the Gaston Patenaude Hall located at 717 Notre-Dame Street in Embrun in order to consider a proposed Building Permit Fee By-law under Section 7 of the Building Code Act.
PURPOSE AND EFFECT
The Township of Russell is proposing to adopt (amend) a Building Permit Fee By-law following a review of the building permit fees under Section 7 of the Building Code Act. The effect will be to increase the existing fee structure and introduce new fees. Information will be provided at the meeting on the estimated costs of enforcing and administering the Building Code Act, the amount of the proposed fee(s) and the rationale for changing (and/or imposing) fees.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed fees.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION related to the proposed fees is available during regular office hours at the municipal offices or can be requested by contacting the Building and Construction Department at 613-443-3066 or building@russell.ca.
