Recreation Complex Construction – April 2026 Update
Construction at the Recreation Complex continues to make steady progress, both inside and outside the building.
On the exterior, crews are installing large glass panels on the ground floor and moving ahead with the framing for the lobby skylight. This work will allow the glass installation to move forward soon. Siding work is also ongoing around the building, with insulation and framing being installed in preparation for the final metal panels. You can now see these panels starting to take shape along the north side of the building. Roofing work is advancing on the upper levels, including metal flashing, which supports the continued exterior siding work.
Inside the building, masonry crews are building the walls for arena change rooms and the pool change area and filtration rooms. Interior wall and ceiling framing, along with drywall installation, is moving ahead throughout the arenas, pool, and community hall spaces. Painting in the arena areas is nearly complete, which has allowed mechanical and electrical teams to begin finishing work. Mechanical and electrical systems continue to be installed throughout the building, including inside walls, to support lighting, ventilation, and other essential services.
Township administration is actively preparing for the opening of the Recreation Complex set for the fall 2026. Work is underway to identify and fill staffing needs and to plan programs and services that will be offered once the facility opens. Residents can expect to see a survey shared in the coming months to gather feedback on programming interests and needs. This input will help shape the activities, classes, and services offered at the new Recreation Complex to better serve the community.
Overall, the project continues to progress well, with visible changes happening every week. We will continue to share updates as major milestones are reached.
