Back to SearchWork continues to move along well at the new recreation complex!
The building’s foundation is now complete, and crews have poured the base and walls of the lap pool. They’re currently working on building the ramp that will provide access to the pool. For the leisure pool, the pool contractor is installing the drains and pipes needed before pouring the base and walls.
Inside the building, the masonry team has now moved to the west side of the building to begin installing the exterior brick.
Progress continues in the rink areas as well. Structural steel is now in place in Rinks 1, 2, and 3. Roofing work on Rink 3 is almost finished, and crews will soon move on to Rink 2. Exterior walls around Rink 3 are up, and work is now shifting to Rink 2.
Crews have also started work on the apron slab and drainage system for Rink 3, which is almost done. In the coming weeks, we’ll begin preparing to pour the ice slab for Rink 3, followed by Rink 2.
