Remembrance Day Ceremonies 2025

The following are the 2025 Remembrance Day ceremonies taking place in the Township of Russell:

Russell: 
November 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. – Russell Legion, 24 Legion Lane, Russell
Hosted by the Russell Legion. The ceremony will be held in both official languages, and residents are invited to gather in the Legion upper hall after the ceremony.

Limoges:
November 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. – Cenotaph, 137 Mabel Road, Limoges
Organized by the Limoges Recreation Committee. The ceremony will be held in both official languages.

Embrun:
November 11, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. – Town Hall, 717 Notre-Dame Street, Embrun
Hosted at the Township of Russell. Residents are invited to gather in Town Hall after the ceremony for snacks, refreshments and also to view artwork and read inspirational texts and poetry from kids in the community.

Flags will be flown at half-mast on all municipal buildings in the Township of Russell until sunset on November 11, 2025, to mark Remembrance Day. If half-masting occurs at a location where a remembrance service is being observed, it may take place at 11:00 a.m. or according to the prescribed order of service, until sunset.

Please note that Town Hall will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, for Remembrance Day.
