Severe Storm Updates - December 23

There is a severe storm affecting our community. Our Fire and Infrastructure teams are responding to issues as quickly as possible.

Avoid all non-essential travel at this time.

Some residents are without power. Utility companies have their crews working hard to resolve the issue - please follow your hydro service provider for updates.

There are power lines, utility poles, and trees down in many areas of the community. We are working with local and regional emergency services to get these hazards cleared.

Our offices are closed as of 12:00p.m. (noon) today. To report an issue after hours, dial 613-443-3066 extension 8.

Please only call our phone lines for urgent issues.

In the event of a life-safety emergency please call 9-1-1.

Impacts to municipal services and facilities:

• Arenas and Bowling Hall are closed.
• Sports Dome is closed as of 2:00p.m. 
• There will be no curbside garbage or recycling collection for the streets highlighted on this map today. Collection remains as scheduled for all other roads. Next Friday, December 30, 2022, two bags of garbage will be allowed for affected households to compensate for today’s cancelled collection, with no tag needed for the second bag.
