The Township of Russell is seeking to fill positions on the following committees:

1. Community Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (1 position)

2. Attainable and Affordable Housing Committee (1 position)

Requirement:

    • Must be 18 years of age or over;
    • Must be a Canadian Citizen;
    • Must be a resident of the Township of Russell;
    • Bilingualism is an asset (English/French).

3. Teens Advisory Committee (3 positions – At-large teen representatives)

  • Teens who apply must meet the following criteria:
    • Must be Russell Township residents;
    • Must be 14-18 years old at the time of joining the committee;
    • Will represent a cross-section of Russell Township teens;
    • Must be available to attend meetings and other activities on behalf of the committee;
    • Must represent themself and not any organization or special interest group.

4. Seniors Advisory Committee (1 position)

  • Seniors who apply must meet the following criteria:
    • Must be residents of the Russell Township;
    • Must be 55 years of age or older;
    • Must be prepared to volunteer time and serve actively on the committee;
    • Must participate as individuals and not represent any organization or special interest group.

Term:
Concurrent with the term of Council (ending November 14, 2026, or until a successor member is appointed).

Remuneration:
Not applicable.

How To Apply:

Those interested in the above-mentioned positions are invited to complete, sign and submit the Committee Appointment Application Form to the Clerk’s office, by email at clerk.greffe@russell.ca or in-person at Town Hall (717 Notre-Dame Street, Embrun, ON K0A 1W1). The Application Form can be found on our website at Russell.ca/committees or can be provided by the Clerk’s office by email.

Only the selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.
