Customer Services Clerk

Position overview and requirements:

The Parks and Recreation Department is seeking one individual to join our team as a Part-Time Customer Service Clerk at the Sports Dome.
  • Ability to work shift work, days, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays;
  • Candidates must be 18 years old or older;
  • Greet and inform clients of services and activities offered at the facility;
  • Perform membership registrations and bookings;
  • Keep client accounts up to date;
  • Collect payments and prepare deposits at the end of the shift;
  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email and in person;
  • Address clients’ comments and complaints and ensure follow-up;
  • Perform various administrative tasks;
  • Conduct general surveillance to ensure the safety of the clients and their belongings;
  • Criminal Record Check;
  • First Aid, CPR and AED certifications.

Language requirements:

Understanding, speaking, reading and writing of both English and French

Compensation:

The salary is set between $20.68/hour and $23.26/hour and includes a pension plan, and free access to the Sports Dome Training Centre.

March Break Camp 2026

Position overview and requirements:

The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for 2 mature, motivated, and bilingual Counsellors and 1 Coordinator for the March Break Camp (March 16 to 20, 2026).

  • 2 Camp Counsellors 16+ years old.
  • 1 Camp Coordinator 18+ years old.

Language requirements:

Proficiency in understanding, and speaking both French and English.

Compensation:

  • Camp Counsellors: $17.98/hour
  • Camp Coordinator: $19.53/hour

  • Part-Time Registered Early Childhood Educators
  • Part-Time Early Childhood Educators

Positions overview and requirements:

Registered Early Childhood Educators under the supervision of the Daycare Manager are responsible for delivering an educational program including activities that are geared toward children's development, their health, their security and their well-being and ensure professional and efficient management of the programming and activities of the service.

  • College degree in Early Childhood Education or in the process of completing an apprenticeship program;
  • Be a member of the Association of Early Childhood Educators Ontario;
  • Valid and negative criminal record check - Vulnerable sector (within six months);
  • Hold a valid CPR and First Aid certification;
  • Must be 18 years or older;
  • Communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Patience, empathy and understanding of children’s needs;
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment;
  • Capacity to work within a team and participate actively in supporting the center, children, families and co-workers;
  • Have strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Language requirements:

  • Excellent proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing of French (St. Joseph and St. Jean/La Croisée);
  • Excellent proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing of English (St. Mother Teresa);
  • Bilingualism is an asset.

Compensation:

The salary is between $26.30/hour and $29.60/hour and includes pension plan as well as a free access to the Municipal Sports Dome Training Center (gym).

  • Excellent proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing of French (St. Jean/La Croisée and Saint Joseph);
  • Excellent proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing of English (St. Mother Teresa);
  • Bilingualism is an asset.

Compensation:

The salary is between $21.56/hour and $24.27/hour and includes pension plan as well as a free access to the Municipal Sports Dome Training Center (gym).
