Construction of Roundabout Begins at St Guillaume and Route 300

The United Counties of Prescott and Russell’s (UCPR) Public Works Department, in partnership with the Township of Russell wish to inform residents, businesses, and road users that construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of County Road 28 (St Guillaume Road) and Route 300 will begin on Monday, March 23, 2026.

Servicing Works Underway for New Subdivision

The Township of Russell is advising residents of ongoing servicing works for the new subdivision located between St-Augustin Road and St-Pierre Road, south of Route 300.

Half-Load Restrictions in effect as of March 9, 2026

Half-load restrictions will be in effect as of Monday, March 9, 2026, for the spring thawing season. These restrictions apply to vehicles with a weight exceeding 5,000 kilograms or five tonnes per axle.

Signs indicating the weight restrictions have been installed on all municipal roads where they apply. Road and weather conditions are routinely reviewed to determine the end date for the restrictions.

Local Flavours Rendez-Vous Returns February 21

The Local Flavours Rendez-Vous is back in Embrun this year and you don’t want to miss it! This annual event brings together the community for a tasting experience featuring regional beer, wine, and food, attracting an average of 500 attendees each year.
