Lost and Found Animals

If you lose or find a dog in the Township of Russell, please call our Public Safety and Enforcement Department. After hours, call 613-443-3066 extension 8.

We will care for the animal until they either reunite with their owner or are up for adoption.

Make sure you buy a township dog tag for your animal. This will help us reunite you with your pet if they are lost.

Dog Pound & Adoption

Adopt a Dog

We bring wandering dogs to the Township Dog Pound. If the owner does not claim the dog within 72 hours, the dog can be placed for adoption. For more information, please contact our Public Safety and Enforcement Department.

Donate to the Local Animal Fund

Our “Cause for Paws” local animal fund helps cover costs of the animals in our care. This includes things like such as:

• Food
• Veterinarian expenses
• Medication
