COVID-19: Provincial Reopening of Outdoor Recreational Amenities on May 22, 2021

As of Saturday, May 22, 2021, at 12:01 a.m., the following outdoor recreational amenities will be open :
- Tennis and pickleball courts
- Basketball courts
- Soccer fields
- Baseball diamonds
- Horse shoe court
- Skate parks
- Boat launch

New 40km/h Speed in Residential Zones

Earlier this year, Council approved an amendment to the Traffic and Parking By-law to reduce the speed limit to 40km/h within residential areas.
Subdivisions now have signs at their entrance and exit to designate the area as a 40km/h zone instead of 50km/h. All signs have been installed and reduced speeds are in effect. There are a total of 156 signs installed.
Where it applies, school zone signs have been changed to 30 km/h.

COVID-19 Municipal Services Impacted Due to Provincial Closure Restrictions:
As of Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 12:01 a.m., outdoor recreation facilities including play structures in parks, tennis/pickleball courts, basketball courts, and skate parks.
The recreational trail will remain open. However, user must attend only with their immediate household.

Coming This Spring: 40km/h in Residential Zones

Council has approved to reduce the speed limit to 40 km/h within residential zones. Starting in late spring, each subdivision will have signs at their entrance and exit to designate the area as a 40km/h zone. Speed reductions will only be in effect once the signs are installed.
